The Nausiflow 2 compact RV confort mattress is an air and special viscoelastic foam mattress with a total height of 14 cm and an effective width of 85 cm. With its double-sided cover and non-return valve, it can be used in 3 different ways, facilitating mattress management without sacrificing the changing needs of patients as their pathologies evolve:
1. Like a viscoelastic mattress (air on the underside with the cells facing the base and viscoelastic foam on the patient’s side on a rigid base) with the possibility of periodically adjusting the quantity of air with the compressor, thus compensating for the phenomenon of settling and also being able to adjust the support according to the patient’s morphology and comfort, which is impossible with a conventional viscoelastic mattress.
2. Like a conventional motorized air mattress, by simply turning it over after use, as with a viscoelastic mattress permanently coupled to the compressor in dynamic mode.
3. Like a conventional motorized air mattress (2), but with the special viscoelastic foam passing over the cells, making the mattress much more comfortable and increasing pressure distribution, without limiting the therapeutic effect of the dynamic mattress.

The first step in preventing bed sores is to change the body’s support points, on average every three hours, to limit overly prolonged compression of the vessels opposite bone protrusions and to allow tissue irrigation.
